Happy 4th of July 2023! Project Status Update:

Hello and happy near 4th of July 2023! Short Project Update...

This is a short update on the status of the website and the Threat List project. In this past few months I have taken a promotion at my job and this has required a massive investment of my time and leaves me with minimal free time (have not posted to my YouTube channel in years either), I prefer these days to spend the little free time I get with my wife and relaxing when I can. As a result this project has stagnated for quite some time, recently SvicidalBug has been come quite active in submissions for the Threat List again (previously known as Playing23)- this list would not nearly as vast and protective as it is today without him. Due to his well over a year of quality and reliable commits to the list I have decided to bring him in to directly control threat reports and list updates since I lack the free time to do it often these days I have decided to entrust the same powers to him. He now has an email you can reach him at directly if needed here and all threat reports via reporting forms will now be delivered to all site staff currently active. Please bear in mind this project is and always has been a volunteer project, the list is only as good as the submissions people can bring to it and those of us who moderate it all have full lives outside of the project and may come and go in amount of activity, we are always looking for help spotting malicious sites in the world to help protect anyone using this list, we welcome all submissions you find in our easy to use form. I have run some overall website updates on the backend and cleared up a few areas public facing as well as updated team related pages to reflect SvicidalBug being an admin. If there are any suggestions you have for the website or would like to become a writer for the tech blog you can drop us a message in the contact form There was a point in the last year where I had considered letting the site expire due to my lack of ability to have upkept the project, but in the end I decided it was important to keep it up for all the people out there silently using and benefiting from the list and SvicidalBug has kept the list alive so do not worry about the site going away anytime soon (P.S the list is over 6 years old at this point! Time really has flown by!). If you are a Github user, feel free to drop by our repository and direct submit a PR for domains or help with issues raised.

Thank you all for your continued support and I hope the Threat List continues to benefit the world the best it can for the foreseeable future,
Andrew Gildner (Founder)
